Private by design — your photos are never uploaded anywhere. The GIF is built right inside your browser, with zero upload wait. How this differs from upload-based sites — most converter sites upload your photo to a server, process it there, and promise to delete it after a while. Until that happens, your photo is sitting on someone else's server. imgmoa has no upload step at all. The more sensitive the photo — a scanned ID, a photographed contract, pictures of your kids — the more that difference matters.

Turn a burst of photos into a clean GIF with no watermark

Burst shots or step-by-step screenshots become a short looping GIF once you play them in order. This tool takes two or more photos, lets you set the order, speed, width and a boomerang loop, builds the GIF in your browser and adds no watermark. Your photos are never uploaded.

A closer look

GIF plays almost everywhere because it is so old, but each frame is limited to 256 colors and there is no sound. The tool reduces every frame to its own 256-color palette, which looks fine on people and objects but can leave visible stair-step bands in smooth gradients such as a sky or a glowing lamp. GIF also stores every frame as a complete picture, so file size grows roughly with the number of photos and the width. The page’s recommendation of 20–30 photos at 480px or less is a comfortable range for chat apps and forums.

The first photo in the list decides the size and shape of the GIF. The canvas takes the width you pick (320, 480 or 640px) and the first photo’s aspect ratio; if that photo is narrower than the chosen width, its own width is used. Every other photo is scaled until it fills the canvas and then trimmed from the center, so mixing landscape and portrait shots cuts off the sides or the top and bottom of some frames. Transparent PNG areas are drawn on white, every frame uses the same delay, and the finished GIF loops forever.

How to use it

When it helps

Burst-shot clipsChain a burst of a child running or a dog turning its head at 100–150 ms per frame for a brief moment of motion.
Before and afterAlternate two photos, such as a room before and after tidying, at about 1000 ms so the difference jumps out.
How-to animationsCapture each step in an app and advance them at 500 ms or slower to show a sequence without recording video.
A product from every sideString together shots of an item turned a little at a time so buyers can look around it in a listing.

Common snags

Frames after the first one are cropped at the edges. The first photo sets the canvas shape, and photos with a different shape are trimmed from the center. Crop all of them to the same ratio (for example 1:1) with Crop Image before building the GIF.
The GIF is too big to upload.Drop the width to 320px or use fewer photos. Boomerang adds rewinding frames too, so five photos become eight frames and the file grows accordingly.
I see bands in the sky or background. That is GIF’s 256-colors-per-frame limit, not a setting you can change here. Scenes with long, soft color transitions are better shared as photos or video.
It says “Could not read image” followed by a file name.A file your browser can’t open, most often an iPhone HEIC photo, is in the list. Convert it with HEIC to JPG and add it again.

Tip Boomerang only applies when there are three or more photos; it plays 1→2→3→2 and loops, which removes the jarring jump from the last frame back to the first.

GIF Maker FAQ

How many photos can I use?

There is no limit, but GIF files grow quickly with more frames and larger sizes. 20–30 photos at 480px or less is recommended.

How do I control the speed?

"Frame delay" is how long each photo is shown. 100ms feels snappy; 500ms feels like a slideshow.

What is a boomerang loop?

It plays 1→2→3→2→1, rewinding at the end for a seamless loop.

Is there a watermark?

No. You get a clean GIF with no watermark, free, with no limits.
